"Wealth is the ability to fully experience life."
-Henry David Thoreau
On my birthday (March 1st) my business partner David (The Wizard) asked me, “What does Rob want”? I listed off a few things, “I want Colleen to not have to work her full time job anymore; I want to donate a home each month in Belize with Hand in Hand in perpetuity (after I die), and…" David interrupted and said, “No, those are things you want for other people. What do you want?”
Since then I’ve been asking myself, “what makes me happy and feel well?” I know I feel the best when I’m deliberate in working out, eating well (more steak, less cheese cake), reading, and making music. I love working. I love the niche I’m in and seeing how things connect and can be streamlined. Building the business out is just a lot of fun. It’s a weird day when we don’t get some kind of great news of some sort. Or a “we rich” text. All this being said, my question to you is, what does happy mean to you? What does “being wealthy” look like to you? If you can’t articulate what you want and yearn for, you’re never going to get it. Or you’re never going to appreciate the mountain peak, if there is no mountain to climb.
"The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter—'tis the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning."
- Mark Twain
Song To Digest With
The Freedom To F*** Off- Petey
So what do I want? I want the freedom to fuck off
In the middle of the ice tonight, I'm squarin' up, and I'm takin' the gloves off
Hell, what do I need? I need the freedom to smell bad
'Cause this ain't relaxin', thinkin' 'bout way too much in a warm bath
